October in Houston - No Matter Your Vibe

Are you a cozy homebody or out looking for haunted houses? Maybe you can get down with both depending on the day! 

The air is getting crisper, the leaves are starting to fall, and I’m actually allowing a few spider webs to linger on the porch (but only until Halloween!). It’s October in Houston, and whether you’re all about those cozy fall vibes or looking for something a little more spine-tingling, Maybe you can get down with both depending on the day! I’ve got a lineup of events that’ll make this season unforgettable no matter what vibe you're after!

1. Discovery Green Pumpkin Patch
Discovery Green invites the community to its pumpkin patch featuring over 45 pumpkin varieties, crystal clear kayaks, a train ride, photo opportunities, a corn pit and a replica of Cinderella’s carriage. Reservations are recommended.

2. Old Time Christmas Tree Farm
Located on 40 acres planted in pine and cypress trees, The Old Time Christmas Tree Farm pumpkin patch will feature a variety of pumpkins, carnival food and attractions including a petting zoo, a train ride, a hay ride and a bounce house.

3. P6 Farms
Located in Montgomery, the P6 Farms pumpkin patch and fall fest will feature a variety of pumpkins, photo opportunities, festival food and over 20 attractions. Attractions include vintage rides, a corn maze, a sunflower field and farm animals, among others.

4. Old MacDonald’s Farm
Founded in 1991, the Old MacDonald’s Farm’s pumpkin patch will feature small, medium and large pumpkins, photo opportunities, a petting zoo, train rides and pony rides. Young guests get a free pumpkin with paid entry.

5. Good Shepherd Church pumpkin patch
The front lawn of the church will transform into a pumpkin patch with multiple activities for families to enjoy, including storytelling and reading activities for kids, fall-themed photo backgrounds, face painting and pumpkins available for purchase. On Oct. 27, the church will hold a concert in the patch along with trunk or treat.

6. Dewberry Farm Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch
The Dewberry Farm Fall Festival will feature pumpkins, food, friendly animals, and over 40 rides and attractions. The event will also include an 8-acre corn maze, pumpkin painting, a pumpkin house and a corn pit.

7. Oil Ranch Pumpkin Patch
The 56-acre ranch is holding a pumpkin patch with several attractions, including a maze, a train ride and a petting zoo. Children under 12 years old get a free pumpkin.

8. Froberg’s Farm
The Froberg’s Farm Fall Festival will feature a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, food and tractor rides.
