Don't Get Caught Off Guard...

It’s been what feels like one thing after another in our country over the last few months. Hurricanes, wild fires, natural disasters. And the damage has been horrific in some parts.

Let’s talk about something that most people skip over when buying a home - Insurance. We don’t skip it per say but we definitely don’t pay attention to details. If I know one thing, THIS piece is crucial!

We all think we’re covered until disaster strikes then it’s like, oops, maybe I should’ve asked a few more questions, right?

Here’s the thing…You’ve worked hard for your home! The last thing you want is to find out you’re underinsured when the unexpected happens. So let’s make sure you’re 100% protected with the right coverage.

Here are the essential questions you should be asking your insurance agent to make sure you're truly covered:

  1. Does my policy cover full replacement cost, or just the market value of my home?
(Trust me, market value is NOT enough. You want the full deal!)

  2. What about natural disasters..am I covered for floods, earthquakes, or wildfires?
(A standard policy doesn’t always cover these, so don’t assume!)

  3. Are my belongings and valuable items covered even if I’m not home?
(Think about your laptop, jewelry, or that new designer bag—you want that protected!)

  4. What’s the deal with liability coverage?
(If someone trips on your property or you cause damage to someone else’s home, make sure you’re covered.)

  5. Can I bundle my policies or get any discounts without losing coverage?
(Because a little extra savings never hurt anyone, right?)

If these questions make you think twice about your current coverage, it might be time for a check-in with your insurance agent. Don’t wait until it’s too late!

I’ve got your back. It’s more than just about the buying and selling side with me. I work with some trusted local insurance pros who can help you make sure you’re truly covered! I’d love nothing more than to introduce you,  just let me know!

You deserve peace of mind, knowing your home and belongings are covered no matter what. It really is better to just double check and know it’s all good.
